TIA 😊 I have started the very first step in their interviewing process for a position on the direct marketing team for an analytics based role. Curious what I shlould be preparing myself for in the coming weeks if I am selected, since I’ve heard getting into Nike is comparable to breaking into a fortress.
Just be prepared that it's a numbers game and if you really want in you'll have many more interviews before you get in. Patience is key.
Thank you!
I would not wear a track suit either. For a professional position, the standard clothing is jeans, tennies and a t or Polo, so you want to be slightly nicer. I would get a nice Nike Polo shirt with nice jeans or khakis. Coming from someone who landed a job and has given also hired a bunch at Nike.
Why do you have to be funny 😅
I interviewed some time back. 2 ppl were randomly throwing questions at me . Unprofessional experience. SWE role
Hahaha having been an software dev at Nike, I can assure you it's just two devs selected last minute with no interview experience. Nike really has no interview training so interviews were always non standard and sloppy. Not a good candidate experience.
I didnt know that Nike had a SWE role, arent they more marketing and branding? Besides what kind of software products do they make? My friend who has just graduated want to knock on their door as SWE.
I heard they have a really good WLB
Just do it.
Where is nike hq?
Beaverton, OR

I would say this: Attire including accessories (bags, etc) brand neutral. Either complete fashion or NIKE. (By the way- they capitalize all four letters) Be ultra prepared with the analytics side- know how to do the job you are interviewing for. Know how to answer these questions: Why NIKE? What do you bring to the table? What’s your competitive advantage? What type of environment helps you flourish? What is your biggest regret? Greatest accomplishment? Biggest weakness? Have examples of past business situations that show your problem solving, analytical thinking, decision making ability. Be concise but thorough. Have a personal connection to the brand. ASK for the job at the end of the interview. Be prepared with questions for the interviewer. (What are they looking for in a candidate? What skills are most important? ) Follow up IMMEDIATELY with a thank you and reiterate why you are the best choice for the role. IF YOU DONT get hired, ask for feedback- what we’re deciding factors? What can you do to be more qualified for future opportunities.
🤩 Thank you so much for your help and insights!
First things first: if you own anything Adidas related; burn it. Phil is known to be able to detect the smell of german clothing brands from miles away. Finally, and don’t fuck this up: dress into Nike running gear for your onsite.
Great, thanks. Do you happen to know if there is a playlist for failing interviews? I’ll need it after that advice. 🎶
What does ”failed interview” mean? 😳
