Should I ping recruiter after Facebook onsite

I attend onsite for graduate Software Engineer on 12nd August (Monday). I found my resume is out of date and send a email to recruiter on 14th August. I got the response from recruiter on 16th (Fridiay): he updated my resume and I will get result in about a week.
But by now, I haven't hear any result after that. And I don't currently have any pending offer.
So Should I ping the recruiter? Or waiting will be a better choice?

I am just worrying about if I am not their first choice, will ping makes them reject me directly?
