Been almost a week and half and still no word from recruiter. I thought I did extremely well, and had a great back and forth discussion with the engineer on his follow-up questions. I already sent out one email and no response yet. Advice on what to do? Give up? Edit: Such a shame! I had such a high opinion of Dropbox after speaking with the recruiter and the interviewing engineer. And then to be ghosted... 👻
You failed to meet their expectations. Why not ZG? Amazonians do pretty well here.
How's the pay?
DOE
DBX didn't reply after 6.5 hours of onsite, it's been 3 weeks. I moved on
Keep holding out! I’d give it 1-4 months just in case
Just send them a reminder every other week or so. This happened to me after my Airbnb phone interview. Turned out the position was already filled and my recruiter was looking for buy in from other HMs.
Im unhappy with our RCs right now. There's been some great candidates I interviewed over a months ago that i gave a "strong yes" for, only to see no updates whatsoever. Im sorry this is a shitty experience for you, most engineers try to fill in their feedback within 1 day of the interview but we dont know why it takes recruiting so long to get back to people. /rant
Don’t blame the RCs— this is on the recruiter (or in some cases the sourcer). All the RC can do in this situation is ping the R/S to follow up with the candidate, and that’s assuming the candidate has been directly following up with the RC as well.
I’d give it a bit more time. Right now I think recruiters are scrambling to figure out how to do virtual onsites due to coronavirus. Give it another week or so, and don’t be shy about pinging your recruiter every few days or so
How long's it been?
I rarely have interviews scheduled nowadays, I like it this way
@Venti - Have you heard any good news from your recruiter. can you please share your phone interview experience? Thank you
It means you failed the interview
Know this for sure, or are you guessing?
It could be that someone else already accepted the role or they’re on a hiring freeze
