Any non tech PMs, operations, etc get hired from applying directly on a company's website?
Obviously being referred is better but anyone apply and get hired from direct application? Seeing if worth my time.

Never used networking or a referral or anything to get a job and I donโ€™t have a formal education. Iโ€™ve only exclusively been hired through applying directly. YMMV cause I do a lot of writing.

"a lot of writing" meaning blogging or articles, something like that?

@triib all kindsโ€”technical writing, proposals, statements of work, manuals and documentation, UX materials, case studies, thought leadership, quality assurance tests, etc etc and yes also blogs.

Being able to apply via a โ€œcoldโ€ opening is about what you can offer that sets you apart from others so I would consider what makes you uniquely able to deliver what you do.

Yes. Make sure to customize your resume for every company and throw in buzzwords from the job description

LinkedIn premium is pretty legit imo for job searching

    Me!! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป

All I did was apply either through LinkedIn or the companyโ€™s career site. Three offers extended before I stopped my search.

Fun tip I just found out, Apple recruiters actually use their resume database experience, where you can submit your resume and your areas of interest. Just landed my new job this way.
