Non-tech role to APMM?
I recently resigned from a consumer insights role and moved to San Francisco, so I'm currently thinking about changing my career path. A PMM role looks interesting, but since I've not had any experience it seems an APMM role would be more appropriate. Google's APMM program seems fairly targeted at new grads - has anyone found success in getting an offer mid-career? Besides Google and FB, are there other APMM programs that may be less competitive to get into?

This doesn’t answer your question (because I don’t know the answer) but if all else fails you could also look into joining a startup as a pmm and then just apply to a regular pmm role at google after some years. Also you can start a blog or some online appearance that you keep up over the next months //years so you have a little portfolio :)
