1) If your office is not the one where you are attending orientation, I know the 2nd and 3rd week are remote to do a project. Can you opt to do a solo project or do you have to work with people remote? 2) Are there "team-building" activities? That is, cringy icebreaking games? I hope not.
Can you share you preparation strategy for google interview?

@majuli, would you mind telling count of easy/mid/hard? Just to estimate the efforts ๐.
1. I don't know if you can do a solo project but the only point of it is to familiarize yourself with some internal systems and maybe get something working. It doesn't matter at all beyond that, or if you even finish. 2. There are some as the wider group before GTI starts, they don't require much in the way of participation if you don't want to.
I heard they haze you by having you streak downtown Mountain View in those beanie propeller hats. Oh wait maybe thatโs Palantir? ๐ค
I joined last week and we didn't have that project because of holidays. I think it's entirely optional and hardly will help your further work. But it's good to get to know some folks.

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me โa lookโ because I tipped her 10% for โBAD service!โ
Aren't people supposed to be collaborative? Take the time to get to know fellow Nooglers
Totally fine with that, what I want to avoid is games like "throw this ball around and who gets it has to say their name and one thing about themselves". I'd rather talk to people like normal humans. This happened at Microsoft btw.
At Microsoft? Lmao ๐
