Oracle recently offered an artificial intelligent expert as much as $6 million in total pay as Silicon Valley's talent war heats up. As the battle for artificial intelligence talent heats up in Silicon Valley, word on the street is that larger tech companies are using enormous pay packages to sway candidates away from less well-healed startups. Oracle offered at least one candidate a $6 million package made up of salary and equity incentives to convince them to join the company, a source told Business Insider. That candidate had other job offers but went with Oracle because of the higher pay, the source said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.yahoo.com/amphtml/finance/news/oracle-recently-offered-artificial-intelligent-213624981.html Wonder if this person got any negotiating tips from Blind. š
"well heeled" https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/well-heeled Don't take that as a grammar nazi comment just trying to help OP.
I just copied and pasted from the article. That feedback should go to the author of the article.
Who is this expert?
No wonder she looks happy š
Lowballed. She should have asked for a cool 10 mil.
Oracle is desperate
This AI craze is getting out of hand. I love that shit but how much utility is their research really bringing to the company?
Some companies would hire and keep you in reserve for future projects. And some would take you off the market so competition didnāt get you. Itās good for the candidate, no?
Darn tootin it's good for the condidate, I don't fault them at all. From an outsider looking in im just not sure how much value these experts add to the company so it just seems weird to me. How come terry tao doesn't get offered 6mil to do his research?
So how many leetcode hard problems it takes :)
It's the combined TC of all the people your AI will replace and put out of work.
Anyone know the specialty?
