I applied for Google's University graduate position and the first bat, they asked for my transcripts. My gpa is below their requirements, 2.6. Since there was no way out, I gave it to them then shortly after, I got a rejection email from their recruiting team.

Can a referral bypass the recruiters? Honestly, Gpa doesn't mean anything. I have 2 years worth of internship experiences to back it up.

Tc:100k, not at WD tho.

Recruiters will handle a lot of the process. Who do you think sets up interviews with the engineers for you? Recruiters

No. Apply again once you have a few years of full time work experience

GPA means a lot out of college, internships don't really show much honestly

You’re nuts if you think GPA doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t want anyone with below a 3.2 on my team.

Google doesn’t care about gpa past 36 months. Take a few years to work elsewhere, study for interviews while doing so, then interview. My gpa was in the same boat as yours. I’m now doing really well in my career. Also, dig deep within yourself to understand why you had a low gpa (boredom, depression, etc) and work to correct those issues. Otherwise you’ll be in the same boat in the workplace that you were in during school.
