I've worked in analytics for the past 4 years and I've enjoyed it, but it doesn't quite feel like the perfect fit. My favorite part of my job is the build (making a really cool dashboard with complex excel formulas, building python scripts to grab data from the reddit or twitter apis etc, working with the backend of CMSs to build sites/apps). Basically, it seems like I really like the "building" aspect of my job.
After talking it out with friends, it seems like I would get to do more of this in the computer science field. I currently have a BS in Economics - I'm highly considering going back to school for a couple of years to get a BS in Comp Sci.
I think I'd want to work on the backend side of things, which is why I think it makes more sense to go back to school rather than try to work my way in.
Am I on the right track here re: what my job could be like and needing to go back to school?
I'm 27 so I feel like I still have enough time to pay off any debt I'll acquire.

P.s. Yes I am aware my TC is low for my role (data analytics) and my location (SF). I here about this in the comments of literally all my posts :)
