A friend of mine got accepted into a MS Data Science and MS Computer Science program. The MS DS is only 1 year long while the MS CS is 2 years long. The MS CS has a specialization in DS.
My friend has a BS in Electrical Engineering so has some background with programming, but nothing substantial.
Which route is best for getting a job in tech? Will a MS DS “guarantee” a job as a DS?
Any advice is appreciated.
