Hi Blinders, I am close to getting couple of offers (in different teams) at Applied Materials. Both seem to be leveling at E4 but I feel E5 is a possibility so I want to preempt the discussion. Two questions to blinders: 1. What is typical TC offer for E4 vs E5? 2. How likely is it to negotiate E5 even if the req is E4? YOE 4 in process industry + 4 in relevant work postdoc at an Ivy Current TC 150/30/30 #hardware #semiconductor
Postdoc usually get E3 senior at AMAT. So it makes more sense if a postdoc plus 4 YOE get E4, instead of E5
And I also think 150 base is high for E4 at AMAT. Mind share the numbers of your AMAT offer?
I think hard to get to E5. Are you a senior manger in your previous role?
Yes, I am an individual contributor, but at Sr. Manager equivalent level. Do they reserve E5 for internal employees? Appreciate any feedback!
