GitHub recruiter ghosted me twice

A recuiter contacted me after I passed the home exercise. The home exercise required 5hours long even though it really didn't seem to need 5hours.

After that, a recruiter contacted me for quick chat and she wanted me to book via her calendly. I did and she didn't show up. Then I sent her email. She apologized and asked me to schedule again. She didn't show up again today 😕

Never experienced like that in my career. Too bad that there is no way to report her.

    • No way, bro. GitHub has a “main” branch instead of a “master” branch now. Therefore, it is the most inclusive company in the history of the world, and if you disagree, you must just be a bigot.

    This sucks :( I think recruiters at GitHub are currently under water... so many interviews. I think we're hiring like crazy.

    The take home is only supposed to take 2 hours and they say to not spend more time on it. I think 5 hours is the absolute limit, after which you lose access to the repo.

    GitHub is basically refusing to schedule an on-site for me. When I ask they say they are backed up with scheduling. But over 2 weeks have gone by.
