Dear Adobe folks on Blind, I am currently an SDE 2 at Amazon. I recently got an offer from Adobe for senior engineer 5.0. Does it make it sense to make a switch from long term career point of view? current tc: 270 yoe: 10 Adobe offer level: 5.0 Tc: base 230 bonus: 7% Stock grant: 238k$ for 4 yrs 1st yr sign on: 90 2nd yr: 55 total tc from 3rd yr: 305ish @Adobe
@Adobe What is the scope of senior 5.0 role. Is that like a lead engineer on the team?

You are at or bit over SDE2 band depending on location. Mainly from stock appreciation is my guess. Take it, just base+bonus falls in SDE2 TC band. Assuming you liked team you interviewed at Adobe
The role is in bay area. My tc at amzn is bcoz of stock appreciation

Level 5 at Adobe is pretty senior... pay looks good too. Culture is way better, WLB is better, I’d join

I was curious whether its a equivalent role to higher end of sde2
