Guidewire is hiring. Given the crazy situation we are in, it’s almost business as usual apart from WFH and mainly since we serve the Insurance industry (may not be sexy but it has really challenging problems to solve) and also good financial decisions the company takes. It’s really heart warming to see how the company treats you when the times are tough. So far these are the things the company has provided during this crisis just to show how the company treats their employees

1. Work from home since March 6
2. $500 to support purchasing things to support WFH ( internationally)
3. Expense 50% of two family meals a week from a local Restaurtant so we can support local communities which are hit very hard.
4. Not feeling compelled to take PTO during this time, just asking everyone to do their best and put our family first
5. $100 for internet and cell phone charges for April & May
6. Continue paying for cafeteria & cleaning staff even though office is closed
7. Getting 30% of yearly targeted bonus paid out at end of April. ( Remainder will paid out in normal schedule in September)
8. Weekly meetings with CEO keeping us updated on the situation and being frank in the whole process. Walking the talk and demonstrates the core values - Integrity, Rationality & Collegiality which is what I love about the company.

      The interview turned opposite to what I thought. There was no DS & Algo. He just wrote a custom class and asked me to write a custom iterator for it. He didn’t even asked my introduction. The custom iterator should pass all the JUnit cases which he wrote . It was a bit absurd interview.

      They do, you mean transfer or new H1B ? They do both but given the situation it would take longer to apply for H1B due to premium processing being discontinued
