Hi, I'm non EEA citizen & currently interviewing for a job in Facebook Dublin.
If all goes well: Which visa I'll be applying for? Critical Skills visa?
I'm planning on asking these questions as I get further in the interview process. But wanted to do my own research 1st so I have a better understanding of the Irish immigration system.
if anyone here have been thru the process before & want to shed some light, I'll be appreciative!
thank you!

Once your EP is approved, you will apply for an Employment Visa at your nearest Irish embassy. This will have to be handled by you and not your employer.
Visa will be issued for the duration of your EP, which is 2 years.
After 2 years with a critical skills EP, you can apply for a stamp-4, which is a long term residency status. You will no longer need a valid EP once you have a stamp-4. This is also the status needed for Irish banks to consider you eligible for a mortgage.
After 5 years total (EP + Stamp 4) you are eligible for citizenship.
If you hate your job and want to switch employers, you can’t within the first year of your EP. After 12 months, your new employer can file another EP, which will again require you to work a minimum of 12 months for them. Once you get your stamp-4 however, you can move all you want.
I'm currently located in England so I see it as going from a bad weather to a slightly worse one lol
