Msft offering $50 an hour contract (sourcer
Google offering $44 an hour contract ( recruiter

Tc at fb $42 but I am slowly becoming miserable and over stressed. If anyone can help give me advice or help me find a full time opportunity would mean a lot

Where do you see yourself next? Do you want to work as a contractor for a big tech company or are you open to full-time roles at start ups? Do you want to focus more on sourcing or recruiting?

Tbh, I’d ask for more $ and keep applying and interviewing at places. Lots of companies are hiring right now. If you don’t want to be over stressed, choose a place that has better WLB.

I think that’s low. Back a handful of years they were offering 60-70/hr for sourcers and recruiters. Those numbers seem like RC numbers to me

Don’t know much about sourcing but this choice is easy: Microsoft. Longest possible contract length, best company culture and highest FTE conversion rate. It’s good enough that a lot of people choose to stay in the MS contracting ecosystem rather than take a full-time job.

Amazon has to pay more because contractors are treated like garbage and Google doesn’t pay as much because they know that having Google on your resume looks prestigious.

FTE conversion at Microsoft for sourcing is really low. I’ve worked there on two contacts now (one was extended to 21 months), and we hired over 100+ sourcers, recruiters and admins since January 2021. I had to train the new people.

They had literally one FTE opening on our team. So just a heads up. If you’re looking for contract to hire, you won’t get it here as a sourcer.

And I haven't seen a sourcer last at Walmart more than 6 months. They churn so hard they have to overpay.
