I am 24. I spent pretty much all my childhood and young adult years chasing high paying jobs. Even though I was still able to live my life, I am starting to wonder why we try so hard to get 500k TC. With very basic leetcode skills you can get 200k, and do that for 20 years you'll get to 5 million (assuming you save 70% and 6% market returns). Is it worth grinding to get 500k TC and work for 10 years instead of 20? I know that I would not stop working at 30 even if I had 5 million.

Can you live on 8k a year there?
Priorities change. I tried both lifestyles and I prefer with kids.
@visa I live in HCOL so I can't live on peanuts. My rent is nothing luxurious at all, but costs another 40k
