How did you get an offer in Dublin from India?
I was actively looking for opportunities using LinkedIn applying here and there one day I got a recruiter message on LinkedIn stating Hi, How are you? Thanks for applying to my job. Are you free for a call at some stage tomorrow? If you could send me on your number and a time to call you that would be great.
Are you Irish-Indian? 😁 I’m serious though. How did you find a company there that sponsors you?
I got a message on LinkedIn from recruiter and I am an Indian 😀
Be sure to ask whether Dublin company offers relocation benefit. It may not be that expensive, but it's not cheap either. Especially for a family.
They are providing relocation, but the biggest problem is accomodation is very costly in Dublin it will eat 50 percent of my in-hand salary and taxes are also on higher side which makes me bit sceptical about this offer.
I'm currently waiting for an offer myself over at Dublin. I've been approved and now only waiting for numbers to come up. Also a family of three (a wife and daughter). As far as my research goes, it's not really eat up to 50% for housing (appartment rent). More of 30%-40% (after tax). Which is still high. My consideration is, relocating to Dublin might open up better career opportunities, not only for me but also for my wife. I have a friend who works at Facebook Dublin. He has a wife, and her wife, not long after relocating, she also found her job in Facebook as Content Reviewer (the salary is almost as big as SWE in my country lol, and it's comparable in this case because her salary goes directly to saving). There so many big tech companies over at Dublin, and might be good opportunities to level up.
Considering your current compensation, the cost of living in Dublin would be more than India. I mean you would be able to save more in India than in Dublin. Would your spouse be able to work there? Imagine she sitting at home alone , is she ok with that? But of course, if you want better quality of life, Dublin would be much better than India. You will need to trade of between these factors.
Completely agree with your opinion. My wife won't be working in Dublin as somebody needs to take care on my 2 months old daughter and surely I have to sacrifice on my savings if I decide to move to Dublin.
What was your decision OP?
Staying in india, considering wife's job and have to look after the parents as well.
I feel it’s a sensible decision ..good luck OP !
OP, did you join Priceline then? I am expecting an offer from them in Mumbai. If you joined, how'd you like the company?

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?

Cartrawler
Not sure about company but 90k euro should better + lots of opportunities to move around in Dublin and then eventually US or London
