I received an offer for Controls engineer position at Fremont location with a base of $120K and RSU $140K. I have 6 years of industry experience. The base is the same as my current TC, am I being lowballed here. Can someone please advise how I can negotiate for a better offer at Tesla.

Thank You

Just curious, is this the industrial controls engineer position or automotive sw controls?

  • Assuming 140k for 4 years, you are being low balled, especially with stock being ridiculously high.

Really dude. That's a good deal. I'm an engineer and get 75000 and my RSU was 15000

Which stock price for your new hire. I thought even P1 they pay much better than that

I was a maintenance tech level 3. I was promoted to associate engineer about a month ago. That's when they gave me the 15000 equity. I got about 40000 as a new hire

Is this P3 (Sr.?) If so, it's a lowball and you need to push harder. I think P3 maxes out around 140k base but you can also ask for more RSUs since the stonk is so high atm, you have less potential upside
