Hey all. Just received an email from Two Sigma telling me I passed their hiring committee, but my application is basically still pending until management approves me. How safe is it to assume that I get an offer? Do they ever reject people after the hiring committee stage?
offer letter needs to be in hand
You can safely assume you’ll get one but don’t base any life decisions on it.
Why leave G to go to Two Sigma?
Pursuit of higher TC
G has been really shitty in my experience... my team got reorged 3 times in 3 months before getting dissolved. HR/recruiters suck at communication. Everything just feels giant and not really cared about. It's a nice place to retire but not a great place to learn
Can we trade places? I don't really like it here. In general you need to get a team match here after HC. You shouldn't have trouble though, despite what Two Sigma tries to market itself as, it isn't a top tech company and most of the employees came from Goldman and other finance firms. So they'd be more than happy to have a Xoogler. Any idea if Google NYC is hiring for L3? Or is it still impossible to get a team match there?
From what I've heard G NYC is basically not hiring at all, if it is headcount is like 1-2 open positions
But interesting that you say that, how long have u worked at 2s?
How’s two sigma interview compared with Google?
How long did it take from on-site to this email?
6 days I believe
Hi, have you got the offer? Same situation here, also Google Intern:)
