Both L5, Facebook offered 205K +15%, 700K RSU, 100K sign on
After negotiation, Google offered 205K+15%, 658K RSU, frontloaded, no sign on
Did team match with a GCP team which went well. I think Fb maximized their E5 offer but I wanted to join Google for good WLB. Just moved to the Bay Area and need to raise my 1yr old baby. Is Facebook culture really cutthroat everywhere even if I’m not keen to be promoted, or how is GCP comparing to Facebook? Is the difference worthy to leave the 100K sign on on the table?

I’ll post a separate post later about my interview and preparation experience. The outcomes were actually better than the best case that I was expecting.
Only risk is if the Google RSU goes up, you will miss out.
