What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Considering two offers and not sure which to take: - Series A: 250 base, 0.2% equity on 100m valuation, <10 employees, experienced founder - Series D: 300 base + 15% bonus, 0.07% equity on 1b valuation, nice title YOE: 10 What would you pick & why? #startup #compensation #offers #equity
Totally depends on the company at this point
You mentioned Series E but then the poll says Series D π
argh, changed it all to D since polls can't be edited but for record is E
Damn that base. Mind sharing the name of the Series E company? Let me know if I can DM
take series D, get it to ipo, cash out, move to next series D and repeat. Series A makes this cycle of money making slower.
makes sense to me. but isn't there some advantage to being one of first 10 employees? seems like there should be but I guess it's just not enough equity in this case to justify the risk
By the time you get to series D or something, your portion of the pie would have substantially diluted.
Series E at 1B valuation is not as good? Companies raise series B at 1B nowadays. Ramp is at 4B in series C. Notion at 10B in series C
0.07% equity on 1b? So it's worth $70 million?
Yes, similar to how Jeff bezos can give everybody on the planet $3M each and still have a few billion left.
Jesus. $700k you moron
Current TC and role? 300 base is insane. D 1000%
current TC 225 thanks
