Affirm
What’s your YOE
Sorry 10, will edit
I’ve never heard of Argo but affirm is getting pretty big and not exactly startup culture anymore
Also base sounds low for staff. Are you in a low cost state?
Nope, high COL
How does affirm calc RSUs? Some places grant based on last month’s price, some places use avg over last quarter, etc. Usually won’t make a difference but with affirms huge drop recently it definitely could
Highest of 90 day avg or 50, so 50 ATM I think
No. Affirm calculates RSU price on the trailing 90 day average of the closing stock price. If the stock price for a particular day is < 50, then 50 is used. If it is > 150 then 150 is used. If you join in March price then around $79 is being used. This means RSUs are worth about half.
Afrm is gonna be less than that number just because of the stock price trending down. It has huge long term upside and if we start doing 50B GMV a year, it’s a good stock, but that may take 5 years to get to. (We will end up at 15 for this year). That said, we are going through some hard times from a stock price perspective (though not from a company economics perspective). If you are here for the full 3 year vest, then you can do really well. If not, don’t come. That said, we are giving these numbers with immediate vest vs the other companies that make you wait.
Why do you think we'll end up at $15?
15B GMV? That’s close to our projection for fy 22. Not 15$ stock price.
Congrats! What’s Argo’s RSU valuation based of?
20b
Gonna be worth less than half of those after ipo
Argo’s L5 offer can go up to 240k base. Can also ask for $30-40k joining bonus. Maybe also try asking for $1M/4 year equity grant.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Did you go with affirm? Interested to hear the culture vs cruise if you go with it
Which company you ended up with and why?
Don’t have much context here but the CTO position seems highest upside monetarily and growth wise and the base is high enough it’s not that bad if things go south. Given you like start ups I’d probably go with that
