Dropbox TC: 290-300K
Pros:
- Good Culture & WLB
- Known for great perks and yearly refresher
- Fully remote

Cons:
- Unsure how company will be doing in the next few years

Robinhood TC: 310-320K
Pros:
- Fast growing, good growth opportunity
- More interesting work scope that is impactful
- potential x2 in equity?

Cons:
- Likely to have worse WLB & more stressful? Possibly have PIP (not sure)? Also not remote
- Might not have much upside even if I join now

Why would you consider Dropbox? It’s going nowhere . Practically a zombie company at this point.

There was talk about the government looking at possibly making changes to price for order flow which is where Robinhood makes a bulk of it's revenue from. May want to think about how legislation is going to impact Robinhood into consideration as well.

    • I don’t think changing the fundamentals of payment for orderflow makes any political sense. Maybe something to create more competition between market makers, but the process itself paved the way for nearly free retail trading, and tons of innovation. If PFOF was banned, all of the brokerages, including ones pretending to be noble without PFOF (likely not turning any sort of profit), will create fees.
