Had interviews with SAP Concur for SDE 1 position last week and they got back with an offer today. TC: 105k(base) + 10k sign on + 10% bonus Current TC: 85k in ATL.(Good work. Full stack developement. Satisfied with work. Not so satisfied with TC) Yoe: < 1 year Can someone give elaborate on the pros and cons of the quality of work at SAP Concur?. Asking as I was not 100% sure when giving the interviews and the entire interview process completed in less than a week. Now they are asking me to get back within next 2 days. So want to know if someone can shed some light on the pros and cons and make my decision making process easier.
Quality of work depends on group. What did they tell you in terms of technologies you'd work with?
Sap is old tech, why?
Only do it if you really really want to work for SAP Concur. The cost of living is pretty dramatic. I don’t know what your family situation but relocating is gonna eat your entire signing bonus (since it’s gonna get taxed). I don’t know anything about ATL or how it compares to Seattle so that might be a factor for you.
Thanks for the reply. I am a new grad and don't have any family commitments. What do you think about the work and culture at concur?
I haven’t been here for a long time. It all depends on the team you’re landing into. The people are great, good WLB, but there’s a bunch of legacy and so so so much process to get anything done.
Seattle is the place where you’ll get a shot at all biggies of Software industry. So you should take this ... shouldn’t decide by cost of living as it won’t bother you much till you have a family. By that time you should plan to land on a better company.
Entry level TC for SDEs at Google or FB in Seattle is between 160 and 200K, I would try to get in there. Cost of living here is high. Concur is also going through a massive re-org, too unstable right now.

Can’t help with SAP but just letting you know, if you like your current job go see if you can get a raise with your offer in hand; the difference between where you’re at and what you’re offered isn’t so great that a company wouldn’t do it if they valued you (minus signing bonus) Also do you need to relocate for SAP? Also you can ask for more time to decide
Thanks for the response. Yeah, need to relocate. The position is in Seattle.
Wow then you are taking a serious pay cut from ATL
