Amazon Seattle 130k base/ 46k first year bonus + 35k for second/ 48 stocks over 4 yrs (5%, 15%, 40%, 40%) TC: 180K + 7K relocation Bloomberg NYC 145k base/ 40k sign on bonus/ 20k annual bonus/ TC: 205K + 10K relocation yoe: 2 months after bachelors I want to move to top hedge funds in a year. Which one should I take? What if I want to move to G/fb in 6-8 months? Both positions will involve work in infrastructure( C for BB and Java for Amazon). #twosigma #janestreetcapital #facebook

Are you targeting quantitative or conventional swe role at said hedge funds?

Maybe quant developer, but most likely whichever pays more.

In that case, Bloomberg would be the obvious choice. But bear in mind, much of the software @ Bloomberg could be described as "infrastructure" (most are solutions built for Bloomberg Terminal), with software therein being split into "platforms". It might then be obvious to you that you'll want to end up on platforms whose technologies are more closely related to front-office (quantitative) work rather than actual infrastructure; for example, think 'trading algorithms' & 'market analytics' vs 'database infra' & 'workflow automation'
