I interviewed with Apple for a process integration engineer role (level 4) in the bay area. The recruiter told me they'll be making an offer with the following details: TC: 225k Base: 160k Sign-on bonus: 25k Total RSUs:160k, over 4 years vesting quarterly after 1 year cliff. Average bonus 12% I'm a Physics PhD from a top-5 university with 5 yoe at a startup. My current TC is significantly lower than this. Is this as good as I can hope for or is there more room to negotiate? I dont have any other offers yet, but I do have some interviews in the pipeline.
I will recommend confirming the vesting quarterly after 1 year cliff part. I don’t think that is the case. Otherwise it’s a pretty good ICT4 offer. Congratulations!!
I was a bit confused when the recruiter described vesting and might have misunderstood it. I will confirm that part. Thanks for your help!
Lowest band of ICT4
this is an average ICT4 offer..
Agree. This a standard ICT4 offer and good for 5 years experience + PhD.
Is there a room to negotiate?
There might be room to negotiate sign on bonus. I joined as ICT3 and got 35k. Also, for me there was no 1 year cliff for vesting but it was every 6 months instead of quarterly.

That’s a very high ICT 4 offer. I doubt you can get more until you get in and prove yourself
