Hey guys , never received a offer from a pre-ipo company and wanted to take your thoughts on how to evaluate this compensation . Good / bad / negotiate more ? Role - accounting manager / data scientist Overall - 10 years experience Base -135k Stock - 4000 RSU units (approx $50 valuation per last round of funding) Vesting period of 25% first year, rest ratably each month. Performance bonus - target bonus of $60,000 Other fringe benefits exists.
Uber unit price is $50 now?! Wow
I was surprised too. But this was per last round of funding. It should be a bit lower given the recent events. My estimate is $40 - $42
Try $34-38. Definitely not $50 or anything north of $45.
Seems weak tbh
Can someone attest if uber provides sign-on bonuses ? I asked the recruiter and he said no. I think it’s a bluff and would be nice to hear from the community.
Uber does not do sign-ons. I don’t know of any case where we have done one.
Thanks Suprman!

What level is your offer for? And is it Engineering, or account management? For the base , the bonus target seems quite high.
It’s a managerial position in finance and accounting . Bonus seemed high and recruiter was like .. performance multipliers can almost go as high as 3.5 times
Do you know your level? How many people will you be managing?
