Hello Blind members, I joined Credit Karma and I didn't got H1B this year. Last year my previous company filed my H1B and was unlucky as well. Next year is my last chance and Credit Karma has no plan for me. Which companies will hire me and what are my backup options? My STEM-OPT expires July 2020. TC: 210K YOE: 3
What do you mean by credit karma has no plans for me next year. Do they have offices outside US ?
They do but not ready to send!
What backup, go back to India simple. Don't make a big deal about living in the US, it's pretty average. When Americans get Indian VISA: "Shit I can't believe they are sending me to India, I got to take all these vaccinations too" When Indians get US VISA : "Congratulations! You're so lucky, your life is set" Stop begging in front of a broken immigration system and go and do something great for your country. Snapdeal was made by H1B rejects.
Are you going back?
Yup. I got H1B during my last attempt and people used to wish me luck and used to make me feel like it will be a really sad if I don't get the VISA in last attempt. They used to say they will pray for me. That's when it stuck me people are so crazy and worship working for this country so much. Not getting the VISA shouldn't be a big deal and it's ridiculous that some people base their life decisions on a lottery. There are 100s of other options out there.

What is the appeal to NVIDIA?
Join Microsoft or Amazon. Both transfer employees who don't get H1B to Canada
Will they interview me given that I only have few months left?
That's tricky. Do you know anyone high up in the ladder at Microsoft? Like principal engineer or manager? I have seen many posts at LinkedIn from amazon managers explicitly hiring for Canada
