Moving to New York
My fiance and I are moving to NYC in August. Any suggestions on the best buildings to look at / areas that we should particularly look at? Working in Noho and Chelsea. Budget we are thinking is between 3-4.5k which we can't seem to find anything good for in those areas for obvious reasons.#housing #newyork #rent Combined TC: 306
Look into along Long Island City, in Queens or Jersey City,NJ - I lived in both locations they are great and slightly more affordable than Manhattan. Also the commute times are super short.
I can second these areas as great areas for young professionals with reasonable rent
Don't think I could do jersey city but long island city maybe... I don't know why jersey city just doesn't sound the same as Manhattan š¤£
Look around 6th Ave near Flatiron

check out stuytown - they have their own website and dont really list on streeteasy. I was in the same position - moving to nyc with my partner with the same budget and ultimately ended up picking stuytown. DM me if you wanna discuss

Was looking everyday as things hit the market and took it sight unseen and got lucky
Windsor terrace/park slope area in Brooklyn is great. Family friendly and prospect park is amazing.
Prospect park is amazing if you've never lived anywhere with parks or nature
