Onsites will only get harder over time, LC hard will be the new easy and "hard" questions will be 1000pt Div1 TopCoder problems πŸ˜₯.

I think there definitely needs to be a correction in terms of startup capital, but it’s nothing as bad as 2000 bubble.

Also, dropout rates are huge in CS programs. Where I went, 500 went in as freshmen, but only 100 usually got the degree. A lot transfer out. I’m not sure many who are in it for the money will be motivated enough to see it through.

No what I meant was, yes I put in significant effort to get my degree but I didn’t think it was unbearable. Some parts sucked but rest was enjoyable because the hard work was rewarding and the high TC I was looking forward to was worth it. I didn’t realize many don’t think that way. Didn’t realize my brain might be different than others...I thought everyone was trying to get into tech these days because all you need is a computer and coursera now πŸ˜‚

The bar for top companies will get higher every year due to a larger talent pool, but within 20 years, CS will be a major component of high school and university prerequisites just like History and English are today.

It’ll be closer to 2025; we should have good enough AI by then to start replacing crappy coders.
