Today it was announced that Prashanth Chandrasekar is the new CEO of Stack Overflow, and I'm curious if you have some knowledge of his tenure at Rackspace or previous companies that's... not editorialized :)
He was in the space called rack. Then overflowed to stack. A bone in the back, Does he lack? Or maybe he’s on crack Of picking the whack He’s got a knack
He never really made an impact. Was just following matching orders from the top.
^ No wonder I couldn’t recollect anything from him, ever.
Interesting, thanks!
Didnt make sweeping changes. He was pretty hard on his direct reports if they didnt meet delivery dates. Was not bad being his org. S.O. could do worse. Like Joe Eazor for example.
Dang! I agree though 😆
Didn't even know he had been at rackspace
Interesting guy, more sales oriented than anything. Very very smart, though. He could be a good CEO in the right environment. He does love and advocate for engineering, but kind of a sales bro at heart. I will say I believe he is a genuinely good and caring person. You could do so much worse.
Absolute sales guy through and through. That's a great attribute for a CEO (depending on what SO needs in a CEO right now) He cannot execute to save his life though so I hope SO has a strong COO.
He torpedoed the public cloud practice. Sent out constant emails listing wins of the practice while it was crumbling around him.
Forgettable and not notable. Also seemed arrogant and nowhere near down to earth.
I believe SO will be acquired by MSFT very soon. No opinion as for the Indian guy.
That wouldn't be awful
