Got a verbal offer from Oracle cloud infrastructure group what should be the ideal Total Comp to negotiate and with so many blind posts stating about recent lay offs in that group (big concern). I tried negotiating but they wouldn't go higher much. Location: bay area Base 140k RSU: 4k units (210k worth for 4 yrs) Joining: 10k Yoe 6.5 yrs My current TC is much much higher but as of now no other option but to look for a new role. So far this is the first offer and by far better name than rest.
Low-balled. How was the interview? Do you have relevant experience?
Interview was great, 6.5 yrs of exp with masters in CS
If you have highly relevant experience, try to negotiate. If not, I recommend getting a competing offer. Was all your experience in the US?
4.5 yrs in US, my current position is staff equivalent, however, recent layoff and h1b countdown is about to begin. So more pressure is because of timeline
Depends on the team as well. Which team is this ? If lower than current tc , most people would pass
That’s significantly lower than my offer in Seattle for IC3. Oracle doesn’t do base raises from what I hear, so unless you’re happy with this as is until you’re ready to leave Oracle, don’t take it.
My OCI ic-2 offer was slightly better than this. You got lowballed. Try to get 250K TC but I've heard IC-3 can go up to as much as 320K
How much time did they take to extend the offer after your on-site?
What team did you have OCi onsite interview?
Thank you all for sharing the TC info, anyone like to shed some light on the stability of the company or OCI
You are low-balled. Location?
Bay area, I know pretty #lowball offer.
Is it ic2?
