Oracle compensation 2 yoe
My friend (AWS) with 3 yoe got an offer from Oracle cloud Seattle, 175000 base + 5000 shares, 50000 sign on. How does this look like? It makes me think about leaving amazon for Oracle. I current make 170-180k total.

Oracle gone nuts. Internally it’s all mess. you are paid fairly for both building stuff and navigating mess. At the end refresh’s will stop

Yes join oci for the money, and boomerang or leave elsewhere after 2yrs. Money is good, everything else is so rotten esp leadership.
It’s amazing to see the 3 yoe kids getting paid $200k when Oracle underpays experienced and really qualified engineers less than that for 15+ yrs worth of experience.
175k base in Seattle for 3YOE seems insanely high, that's well into senior level for almost all companies
