Oracle offer with no signing bonus, is that usual?

I’ve worked in the industry for about 4 years now. I got offer from oracle for sdev2 with 140 base and 80k(over 4 years) rsus in seattle. They dont have yearly bonus. What do you guys think about this offer? Is it too low?

Yeah that's pretty low...

What's your current TC?

Expedia yGaA13 OP Aug 21, 2018

Close to 160k + annual bonus

Microsoft CafeMox Aug 21, 2018

I think it's pretty good, considering that at Oracle there's no SDE 1, you got the lowest level with 140k as base, I say not bad :)

Expedia yGaA13 OP Aug 21, 2018

But no signing bonus?

Illumina Duderin0 Aug 21, 2018

You have to ask for a signing bonus.

How is Oracle culture? Expedia seems way better and more lax, while Oracle seems very corporate with a dress code

Microsoft CafeMox Aug 21, 2018

Dress code? I don't know where you get that from

They should play that video of Larry Ellison saying “there’s no such thing as cloud” on a loop in the cafeteria

Oracle almost no salary raise as well. So be prepared.

Oracle SUaY50 Aug 21, 2018

Oracle sucks. Run away

Depends if it's Oracle corporate mothership or OCI. Very different things there. I saw a thread of a level 3 making upwards of 350k TC.

Oracle wtfbbq Aug 21, 2018

If Seattle its likely OCI

Oracle uaDa00 Aug 21, 2018

It is not true. Ic3 cannot make 350k. Someone is trolling. Lol.

Facebook fb2017 Aug 21, 2018

Heard OCI missed revenue goal badly. So it may not live long.

Oracle puji66 Aug 21, 2018

This is officially the ironic post for the day

Microsoft 5’6Indian Aug 21, 2018

So they didn’t miss it?

Oracle ovKR85 Aug 21, 2018

That simply means you are going to shitty part in Oracle!

Oracle K-9dawg Aug 21, 2018

Stay away else you will regret your decision.
