Is it normal for 18 months hold up period for sign on bonus in Oracle? Is it possible to negotiate it to 12 months or less ? Incase of a layoff before 18 months, do we need to return the money?
Yeah Oracle is weird that you have to be here for 18 months or pay back the sign on bonus
Have you seen cases with 12 months or less ? What happens if the company layoffs before 18 months ?
What makes you think you’ll get laid off within 18 months at Oracle? I would think typically if someone is laid off, you do not need to pay back anything. However, if you are fired for cause, then you would have to pay back relocation/sign on if you didn’t meet the time constraints.
😅 I see plenty of sign on with 100k but didn't know there is such a policy on 18-month..
Yea I was told 18 months for both sign on and relocation bonuses
Did you negotiate ?
Nope
If you are terminated, you do not have to repay.
