Considering joining Oracle however the role will involve considerable international (and very long distance) travel. My understanding is that only certain levels of the organization can fly Business Class and not everyone. Is the travel policy really this conservative for a top 100 company like Oracle? Hitting the ground running after an Economy flight from SFO to Singapore would be very tough without proper rest.
That’s not what I’m being told. Their policy states only at M6 levels and above (which I’m not sure how high ranking that is.)
From IDC Oracle.. M3 Ive done HQ a few times now, never in Business Class.. Its only for folks at M5 or above is what I've heard.. not sure if thats any different for golks at HQ or anywhere else..
I am IC4 OCI. Travel is business class for 7+ hours. I travel 50% of the time
Just curious, what are the reasons for traveling
Outbound PM, managing customer accounts
Outbound PM, all my flights which are 7+ hours have been business class - No exceptions or approvals needed. Can confirm nothing has changed since past 1.5 years since I have been in this role.
What are you saying man? Why are you getting offended? I am stating what I have been doing all this while. My VP is aware of this - I report into a Director. I have to travel to Asia and Eastern Europe on regular basis - never had to take any approval
M5 and over 7H of flight for business. $400 per night hotel limit. $100 meal limit per person.
8+ hours is business class regardless of the level. Probably the best travel policies I have come across after Apple
