We have really good synergy in our team High productivity Excellent customer service aka fixing/solving problems the minute they show up Always available online But we work from home every friday and today we were asked not to do that by higher management and the reason given was optics. They have some 2nd grade policies.. like public shaming you for forgetting your badge, in the name of security.. which is never an issue when they need you on weekend, nights, etc..
Oh man that's brutal. My current place (not Dollar Shave Club) does that and it sucks. I forgot mine on the first week and everyone saw that I had to wear a paper temporary one

Old school lack of trust of employees is common.. Out of sight out of mind. But to be fair alot of wfh is BS and people are slacking off. But many are more productive and/or need flexibility since the job on its own sucks. You can always quit
This. It's an employee by employee thing if it increases or decreases productivity. A good manage should be able to manager that

Bloomberg isn't modern that way. HR frown upon too many W days. Maybe they just don't trust us.

I work from home whenever I feel like not going to office. No one cares if I’m on office or home as long as I get the shit done. BTW, higher management never show up on Friday. Guess they work from home too :/
