I interviewed a potential L5 (phone screen) the other day. Candidate had apparently 3 years experience in coding post graduation.
Stuck at writing a loop in language of their choice. Logic, syntax, no nothing nada zilch 😳 I understand it's common to bloat up your resume, but there is a limit! I understand companies often ask for x number of yoe and exposure to y, z technologies. Read up and put it on your resume. I'm ok with that. But loops are literally day 2 of a coding class.
Interviewing is expensive for the company. OAs are not great at catching cheaters. Has anyone seen something similar?
My TC 300. Frustration level through the roof.

There’s no excuse for it and it’s definitely a no-hire, but I doubt anyone would be that stupid to bloat up a resume in a way that’s so easily exposed.
