Hi all, Any suggestions on what to expect from onsite interviews with AEVA for RTL role?
What questions were asked?
Aeva interview is reasonable. No brain tweaking questions. All are from daily work. As long as you know your stuff, you will be fine. Interviewers are also nice they walk you through the questions. They try to find your strength instead of trying to fail you.
Was this part of initial call with a Director? Or onsite ?
Can I DM you? I have an interview coming up with them.
Prepare for Computer Arithmetic, know FPGA architecture, STA, some RTL questions . They might ask you if you know DSP , if you don't it's okay. They might also ask you a FSM based questions like how to manage traffic congestion on a crossway, write a FSM for the traffic light. Also keep cool if you get interviewed by an old indian guy, he tends to show attitude and make you realise that he knows more that you.
Thanks! Can you elaborate on computer arithmetic? Bit manipulation type? Never worked on FPGA so don’t know how well I can read up but will go over it. I was asked about DSP in my phone interview and I said I don’t know. It was probably fine that’s why I got onsite haha
Ya it would be simple like 2' compliment , what to do with carry while subtracting two neg numbers ... Hex number to Decimal ... Nothing fancy . Ya Fpga design won't be a compulsory thing but they built Fpga prototypes before ASIC.so it would help but not required
