USA is still reporting an average of 40k+ cases a day and increasing. 500 deaths a day on average. All this even after boosters being available for 6 months. USA is also approaching 1 million Covid deaths, that is 1/330 Americans died of Covid in the last 2.2 years.
Unfortunately, masks were just a political statement in America. Covid's new variants are rapidly spreading. Sure we are vaccinated now, but Covid is NOT your every year Flu that you want to catch it anyway. If given to your loved ones, they can die of it.
From "Masks save lives" to "500 deaths a day is fine coz Biden said no more masks on TV".
Coming under social pressure where people use to give me looks for wearing a mask, I gave in and started going maskless. Unfortunately, I caught Covid in my second week of going maskless. It was mild for me coz I guess I had the booster, but even mild one meant I had body ache, fever, headache and fatigue.
So please, please let people who want to wear a mask wear them. Don't create a stupid social pressure of not wearing masks, especially in crowded areas.

They'll definitely make fun of you if you tried to wear a mask in Florida.
I haven't see anyone with a mask here for months already.
“ People's subconscious reaction to masked people vs unmasked indirectly forces you into not wearing one in the hope of giving out better vibes.”
It’s all ludicrous. I wear a mask myself to protect my unvaccinated newborn. I haven’t faced any harassment, and I doubt if my experience is unique. And yea, I do lose out on something (the ability to connect with people), but that’s a choice I am making, and I won’t expect the world to bend to my will/preference.
Try to guess when and who?
That’s right. 2020. Peak of the pandemic before vaccine. Democrats mayors, governors or senators who have been imposing rules on others but of course it doesn’t apply to them because you know… SCIENCE
