Why are so many people saying they're senior on LinkedIn with roughly 2, 3 yoe?

I don't get why people tend to stamp Senior on their profiles even though they have only a few years of experience. Is it a tendency? Attract recruiter so they have higher TC? What's wrong telling you're a software engineer or developer?
Being a senior takes time and experience. Also, every company has different metrics for that.
Maybe I should stamp a supreme software engineer, maybe create a new title...

When I was a boy, the first beverage my parents ever bought me was a Coca Cola.
When they handed me that delicious beverage when I was 3 years old, I looked them in the eye and told them that, one day, I would be a product manager at the Coca Cola company.
I believe that fate has brought you into my life, Mr. Cola.
I would very much like to interview for a product management position.
