There are teams in the tech space for those with a criminal justice background - compliance/regulation, trust & safety, risk management (uber, lyft..). Good luck!

Thank you. I would have to do research in those as I am not familiar.

  • Why tech? Convince us it's more than just about money, especially since your goal is entirely money-focused and not showing a shred of interest in the field otherwise.

Good thing you brought up. Although I have experience building PC's, creating wordpress sites, worked for peoplepc and EarthLink previously in the technical support aspect, I do like computers and enjoy spending time on one. I can read html and css but cannot write it. I want to feel I am contributing something. I wanna be able to create things but don't know where to start. I specifically ask for options is because I am not your 18 year kid in college. I'm in my 30's with a family I need to look out for. If I can use my cj degree for cybersecurity or something with good compensation I am willing to do it. I want to work smart and not hard as family and family time is my top priority at this moment.

Well for one CSS and HTML are not programming languages. Learn C++, Java, Python or GO as a complete first step. Introduction to any of these languages should be easy to find and Python is especially beginner friendly.
