I was put in pivot and took the decision of improving at Amazon. I only completed 2/5 tasks assigned to me and have failed the improve plan. My question to the blind community and people working at Amazon is that I have about 8.2 days of personal time off and 9.2 days of vacation days. Currently I am on H1B and wanted to utilize these time off days until I find another job. 1. Can I utilize these time off days before I make the decision of appeal or leave amazon? 2. Should I ask my CA about the same. Will he side with me? 3. I have a 1:1 with manager today and should I ask him if I can go on a leave utilizing all of this time before taking a decision. You need to work this out with your manager immediately. You cannot have your last days at a company be PTO or STO. Immigration does not accept that. If youâre manager is cool, they may let you use it all and then come back for your final week. Do not rely on this. Expect your termination to be imminent and plan your job hunt as if you have 60 days from today. Good luck!
