I have an offer for a PM job in a not-so-great company, but the job is in a specific domain I am interested in (providing hardware for machine vision, autonomous vehicles, etc.). I also got approached about running a startup that will do some very boring stuff to bring in capital, but some potentially tremendous things in the future. If I take the regular PM job, I get to learn a particular industry and grow a network with customers, partners, etc. The startup job is with a group that already had a successful exit in the past, they can pay a salary, and the attractiveness there is to learn from these folks about starting and running companies, raising capital, etc., and I grow a network of people in that type of ecosystem.

Why are you being recruited for the CEO job? If the group has had successful exits in the past, I’m surprised one of them isn’t in the CEO seat.
Main player already made money and doesn't want the job, wants to be CTO instead, two others currently are CEOs of their more recently created companies.
It seems a bit odd, usually they find other experience executives
