There are a lot of “level 6” offers that seem to cross the established maximums here ($500k-$600k) on levels.fyi FB has a bunch at of data points at E6: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=FACEBOOK%20E6 Google has a few at L6: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=Google%20L6 Twitter has a few for Staff SWE: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=Twitter%20Staff%20SWE LI has a few at Staff SWE level: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=LinkedIn%20Staff%20Software%20Engineer Even Dropbox has one DP: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=Dropbox%20Staff%20SWE And Snap: https://www.levels.fyi/comp.html?track=Software%20Engineer&search=snap%20l6 So far this does not seem to affect managers, but perhaps its a lack of data points. I’m surprised these numbers are so high and wondering if this is real and if so what is driving the increase. Anyone on blind got such and offer or managers can you verify these offers are accurate? What was your experience (competitive offers, etc.) #offer #career #tech #compensation TC: 550k
OP seems a high Principal or low Architect at Salesforce.
Principal don't make anything close to this.
There's target comp and there's comp after stock appreciation. We don't know which one is which. Same for your TC. Is it target comp or after stock appreciation?
Most of the times new offers are the highest, higher than the perceived inflated compensations due to stock appreciation.
These are mostly year 0 offers that are high
Can we exclude LI staff data? It's not the same
550k at Salesforce? What’s your level and YOE? I should apply to Salesforce, heard their WLB is great.
Architect, wlb is ok but we still work 40-50 a week
Being an architect at Salesforce could be pretty challenging (to show impact) since Salesforce is sitting on a solid amount of tech debt
