I recently interviewed with Two Sigma and I was rejected after the hiring manager round. No feedback was provided and I was wondering where I might have failed. I got a generic message that essentially said "after careful review of the qualifications we do not have an appropriate position at this time". Basically a polite reject.
For the interviews, I first did an online assessment, then a phone screen, followed by virtual on-site coding session and finally another virtual on-site with 4 hiring managers. The final on-site virtual session with hiring managers seemed pretty chill, it was mostly focused on what I did and what I am looking for and I thought it went quite well. So I was very surprised with the rejection. Can the Two Sigma community shed some light into what are some of the factors that would have contributed to rejection ? Could it be that I failed at the hiring committee level or was it a failure at the hiring manager round ?
I wish feedback was provided since it would have helped me improve my shortcomings.

The vast majority of candidates don't pass the technical rounds, so congrats on doing that.
