Don't go be a SWE at a consulting company... Terrible idea.
Why?
Because SWEs are bottom of the barrel in consulting. SWE's at pwc or equivalent are treated as a cost center, paid very little and the benifits aren't as good as FANG. Check out levels.fyi for salary potential. Source: ex-deloitte digital
PwC and big 4 bread and butter are mediocre clients. They don’t complete with the FANGs and they know it. Their comp model reflects it
Thanks!
I can but would not recommend
Let me know
Any chance u can dm me? I jst ran out of dm
Just a heads up, not crapping on the companies in their entirety however having spent time as a swe at a number of the big 4's; if you're ambitious, talented, looking for a environment where you can expand your already strong engineering background through taking part of a large enterprise ecosystem, or take pride in consistently producing high quality code and expect that of your team. You will be woefully disappointed. You will however, get a lot of experience in writing emails, holding meetings, and office politics with very strong personalities.
We are growing our Consulting Solutions and Trust Solutions teams at PwC! We're hiring for positions across the firm at all experience levels. I'd be happy to share about my experience and personally refer you. Heyyy, is this still applicable?
With 350k total comp, why go to pwc? Quality of life would suck way more and you would make about the same or less unless you come in at the senior director level
Lc = leetcode
Lol doubt anyone except c-suite makes 350k at cognizant or any ICC for that matter
