Hi there, I've done product marketing at startups and big tech companies. I'd love to understand what your pain points are in your roles.
Product marketer is a very ambiguous role in most companies. Best case is to work in an organization where a senior leader leads your org. That way your team gets visibility and higher priority projects.

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
One of the biggest product marketing role pain points is that no one really understands what you are working on/doing. Different departments want to make you their personal “marketing girl”- in my case and management often gives typical “secretary” tasks. Other than that being a product marketer is fulfilling enough, it gives the inspiration to move in and actually work on innovative products which solve real problems ( and create sophisticated ways of bringing these products to public eye).
I appreciate your comments and concur. How do try to tackle being the personal marketer to everyone who expects you to be?
