What is Palantir's onboarding like? I just accepted an offer. It sounds like it'll be one week in Palo Alto and then one week in New York. Are there activities outside work hours? My wife wants to visit New York and is considering staying in the hotel with me while I'm there. Any reason you think this is a bad idea?
TC. ? Not a bad idea in regards to nyc thing. Did you inquire about wlb? Recruiter straight up told me 50-70 hour weeks expected ( for SWE, not forward deploy)
The position is FDE. I talked to several FDEs with families about wlb. They seemed fine with things.
Hope it works out for you. Since you won’t share tc I’ll share my Palantir offer ( I had 3 yoe at the time) 165k bass and 50k shares over 5 year. The wlb aspect scared me off if the recruiter was so open about it
Yeah, onboarding is intense. In the project days some groups left the office at eight or ten in the evening
Thanks! This is good insight!
Otoh, we went out as a group on a couple of nights to nice places. I should clarify only a couple of days were so long.
You new around here? TC or gtfo
What, any question has to be prefaced with TC?
